Placentia to St. John's NL

We had a great breakfast with Des. Hitched up the trailer and took off for St. John's. On the way we stopped at the Salmonier Nature Park. It was a nice 2.5 km walk on a boardwalk with different native animals in their own native habitats. We saw caribou, snowy owl, great horned owl, and a moose. But since we have the ability to repel moose, the moose was in the far back of his area and only his head was in sight. Des was sure we would see the moose here up close and personal. No way. Lots of camp kids shared the boardwalk with us, quite noisily. It could be the reason the moose headed to the back of the habitat.

St. John's is the capital of Newfoundland-Labrador, hence NL. The city population is 100,00 and the province population is 505,000. We are staying in a city park that has a campground, golf, hiking trails, the Fluvarium (more on that later) and wireless internet! Yay.
