Ok, our luck on the weather seemed to break today, although it could have been worse. We drove north to the Park information center to buy our passes for the park and our tickets for the boat ride. Once we got to the parking area, we had a 3 km walk to the boat pier. The walk took you across bog areas and limestone ridges. As we walked across the bogs, the wind was blowing like crazy. Once into the ridge area, you were protected from the wind. As we got closer to the dock, the rain started to fall, or blow sideways. At the visitor center at dockside, we crammed in with all the other folks to eat our lunch, use the bathroom, and sort of dry off before setting off on our trip.
The boats had some protected areas, but for the most part had open decks. We got seats inside, but as soon as we started, everyone jumped up to get to the bow. The rain had stopped and the clouds lifted so we had a good view of the cliffs of the fjord. It was tough taking pictures unless you were at the bow, so I just decided I would look at Mike's, since he had a good spot. This reminded us of Misty Fjords in Alaska.
On our return trip out of the fjord, we came across a moose on the side of the hill. The boat circled so we all could see it. Then as we were coming into the dock, another cow moose and a calf were on the beach.

The walk back was q
uite nice as
we had time to photograph the area. It was a good day. When we arrived back at the camper, after dinner, we noticed people coming up close and checking us out. We invited everyone to have a look inside and all marveled at what a nice little camper we had.
Kinda "forest primeval" looking!
